Chad Oakes is a Canadian producer. He was born on 27 May 1968 in Calgary, Alberta.

In 1995 he co-founded Nomadic Pictures with Mike Frislev. The company has produced numerous feature films and television series.

Oakes produced the FX anthology series *Fargo* (2014–2017) and the AMC miniseries *Broken Trail* (2006). He has received two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Miniseries or Limited Series, for *Broken Trail* in 2007 and for *Fargo* in 2014. Other credits include the series *Hell on Wheels* (2011–2016) and executive producer roles on *Land* (2021) and *The Thicket* (2024).
