Charles E. Evans was an American actor. He was born on 6 September 1856 in Rochester, New York, and died on 16 April 1945 in Santa Monica, California. He appeared in numerous films during the late 1920s and 1930s, often in supporting or uncredited roles.

His screen credits include the part of Mr. Potter, Disraeli's Gardener, in the 1929 Warner Bros. film *Disraeli*, directed by Alfred E. Green. Other films in which he appeared are *Happy Days* (1929), *The Millionaire* (1931), *The Man Who Played God* (1932), *The Working Man* (1933) and *Cardinal Richelieu* (1935). He was married to the actress Helena Phillips Evans.
