## Biography

Charles K. Gerrard (also credited as Charles Kavanagh, Charles K. Gerard and Charles Gerard) was an Irish-American actor. Born in Carlow, Ireland, he began appearing in silent films in 1916 and continued working in both silent and sound pictures until the mid-1930s.

He is known for his role as Martin in *Dracula* (1931) and for an uncredited part as Lord Leopold Ambrose Plumtree in the Laurel and Hardy short *Another Fine Mess* (1930). Other credits include *Journey's End* (1930) and *Richard the Lion-Hearted* (1923). He was the elder brother of actor and director Douglas Gerrard and also appeared on Broadway.
