Charles Sailor is a writer, actor and producer. He wrote episodes of the television series *Kojak* (1973), for which he is also credited with stories, and *The Rockford Files* (1974). He has written for other series including *CHiPs* (1977) and *Charlie's Angels* (1976), as well as television films, and has been credited under the pseudonym Stewart Alexander.

Sailor is the author of the New York Times bestselling novel *The Second Son* (with a first printing of 1.2 million copies) and other novels. He began his career as an actor, appearing in motion pictures and television programmes including *Return to Peyton Place* and *Medical Center*.
