## Biography

Chet Atkins (1924–2001) was an American guitarist, record producer and occasional actor. He is credited with music on the 1977 film *Stroszek*.

Born Chester Burton Atkins in Luttrell, Tennessee, he spent much of his career at RCA Victor, where he produced recordings for numerous country and pop artists and helped develop the Nashville sound. He received multiple Grammy Awards and Country Music Association honours, and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
