## Biography

Choi Gwi-hwa is a South Korean actor. He joined the Meulmye Theatre Company in Bucheon in 1997 and began appearing in short films from 1999. His first feature-film role came in *Why Did You Come to My House?* (2009).

He gained wider recognition for his supporting performance as a deputy chief in the television series *Misaeng: Incomplete Life* (2014). Choi has since appeared in numerous films, including *Train to Busan* (2016) as a homeless man, *A Taxi Driver* (2017) and *The Outlaws* (2017) as Jeon Il-man. He reprised the latter role in *The Roundup* (2022) and has featured in television series such as *Squid Game* (2021). In 2017 he received the Best New Actor award from the Korea Film Director's Network for his work in *The Outlaws*.
