Chris Abbott (born 17 September 1947) is an American television writer and producer, also credited early in her career as Chris Abbott-Fish. She graduated from the University of Oregon and holds an MFA from Bennington College.

Abbott began writing for *Little House on the Prairie* (1974) and contributed episodes to *Cagney & Lacey* (1982), *Magnum, P.I.* (1980), *Quantum Leap* (1989), *Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman* (1993), *Diagnosis: Murder* (1993) and *Star Trek: Voyager* (1995). She served as producer or story consultant on several of these series and created the series *Legacy* (1998). Later credits include work on the daytime serials *The Bold and the Beautiful* (1987) and *The Young and the Restless* (1973), for which she received a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2006. She is the author of the 2005 book *Ten Minutes to the Pitch*.
