## Biography

Chris Andrews was a British actor. He is best known for playing Gary Bolton, a Yellowcoat, in the BBC sitcom *Hi-de-Hi!*, appearing in 50 episodes from series 2 to series 8 (1981–1988).

His other television credits include uncredited roles in *Doctor Who* (1983–1988) and *The Young Ones* (1984), as well as appearances in *Girls on Top* (1985), *'Allo 'Allo!* (1989) and *Minder* (1989). He had an uncredited role as an Election Ceremony Patron in the 1989 film *Batman*.

After his acting career, Andrews worked as a bodyguard for pop stars including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Chris de Burgh. He died in 2024.
