## Biography

Chris Boucher was an English television screenwriter and script editor. He wrote three serials for *Doctor Who* in 1977: *The Face of Evil*, *The Robots of Death* and *Image of the Fendahl*. He created the companion Leela for the series.

Boucher served as script editor on all episodes of *Blake's 7* (1978–1981) and wrote several episodes himself. He later created and wrote for the series *Star Cops* (1987). He worked as a script editor on *Shoestring*, *Bergerac* and *The Bill*.

Born Christopher Franklin Boucher on 15 February 1943 in Maldon, Essex, he died on 11 December 2022.
