## Biography

Chris Dickens is a British film and television editor. He graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 1990 after attending Hailsham Community College.

He began his career in television, working on the series *Spaced* with director Edgar Wright, before editing Wright's feature debut *Shaun of the Dead* (2004). He later collaborated with Wright again on *Hot Fuzz* (2007).

Dickens won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, and the American Cinema Editors Award for Best Edited Feature Film – Dramatic for his work on *Slumdog Millionaire* (2008). Other credits include *Seed of Chucky* (2004), *Paul* (2011), *Les Misérables* (2012), *Macbeth* (2015), *Mary Queen of Scots* (2018) and *Rocketman* (2019).
