## Biography

Chris McCarron is an American actor and former jockey. Born on 27 March 1955 in Dorchester, Massachusetts, he is credited as an actor in the 2003 film *Seabiscuit*, in which he played Charley Kurtsinger and also served as race designer.

His other acting role was as Tommy Canfield in a 1982 episode of the television series *Quincy, M.E.*. McCarron has appeared as himself in sports documentaries including *ESPN SportsCentury* (2001–2003) and *Dark Horses* (2018). He won the Eclipse Award as the outstanding jockey of 1974.
