## Biography

Chris Murray is a television writer and producer. He created the BBC medical drama *Doctors* (2000–2024) and the police series *Merseybeat* (2001–2004). He has written multiple episodes of *Midsomer Murders* (2013–2021) as well as episodes of *Casualty*, *Holby City*, *Agatha Raisin*, *Van der Valk* and other series.

Murray has also written for *Lewis*, *New Tricks* and *EastEnders*. He previously worked as a stand-up comedian and has contributed to series including *Sea of Souls*. He holds a Master's degree in the occult and paranormal.
