## Biography

Christian McLaughlin is an American television writer, producer and author. Born on 29 September 1967 in Houlton, Maine, he graduated in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas.

He began his career writing sitcom spec scripts with partner Valerie Ahern. Their credits include episodes of *Married... with Children* (1987), *Clueless* (1996), *Desperate Housewives* (2004), *Hannah Montana* (2006), *The Suite Life of Zack & Cody* (2005), *Jessie* (2011) and a long run on *The Young and the Restless* (2007–2019). They created and produced the MTV series *Spyder Games* (2001).

McLaughlin has also written novels including *Glamourpuss* (1994) and *Sex Toys of the Gods* (1997). He received a Daytime Emmy Award in 2019 for his work on *The Young and the Restless* and co-wrote the award-winning play *Meet & Greet* (2014).
