## Biography

Christine Lalla is a British director and writer. She began her career as a sports photographer before training at the London Film School, where she worked as a cinematographer on short films.

Her directing credits include episodes of *Midsomer Murders* (2021), *EastEnders* (2021), *Silent Witness* (2023) and *Hollyoaks* (2016–2017). She wrote, produced, directed and edited the micro-budget feature *The New Boy* (2015), which premiered at the East End Film Festival.

Lalla has also directed National Theatre Live productions, including *Dear England* (2024). She is a BAFTA member, a former Directors UK board member and a Berlinale Talent.
