## Biography

Christine Langan is a British film and television producer. She began her career as a script editor at Granada Television before producing drama series including *Cold Feet* (1997–2000). Her early feature credits include *Pierrepoint* (2005) and *The Queen* (2006), the latter made for Granada and co-produced with Andy Harries.

Langan joined BBC Films as an executive producer in 2006, later becoming creative director. She has served as executive producer on numerous films, among them *The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas* (2008), *The Duchess* (2008), *We Need to Talk About Kevin* (2011), *Jane Eyre* (2011), *Philomena* (2013), *Saving Mr. Banks* (2013), *Brooklyn* (2015) and *Mr. Holmes* (2015). She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for *The Queen*, which also won the BAFTA Award for Best Film. Langan is an Honorary Associate of the London Film School.
