## Biography

Christine Rawlins is a British costume designer. She trained at art school and taught the subject before joining the BBC Costume Department. She began working in television in 1969 as an assistant on Z Cars.

Rawlins was the credited costume designer for all serials of Doctor Who's seventh season in 1970, including *Spearhead from Space*, *Doctor Who and the Silurians*, *The Ambassadors of Death* and *Inferno*. She later designed costumes for *The Sun Makers* (1977). Other credits include *The Signalman* (1976), *The Mayor of Casterbridge* (1978), *An Englishman's Castle* (1978), *Fortunes of War* (1987) and *Annie: A Royal Adventure* (1995). She won a BAFTA Award for *Fortunes of War*.
