## Biography

Christopher Bailey (born 20 April 1948) is a British screenwriter and academic. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in English. His early television writing included episodes for the anthology series *Second City Firsts* (1977) and *ITV Playhouse* (1979).

Bailey wrote two serials for the BBC science fiction series *Doctor Who*: *Kinda* (1982) and its sequel *Snakedance* (1983), both during the Fifth Doctor era. An unproduced storyline, later titled *The Children of Seth*, was adapted for audio by Big Finish Productions and released in 2011. He subsequently returned to academia and lectures in English at the University of Brighton.
