## Biography

Christopher Doyle (born 2 May 1952) is an Australian cinematographer, also known as Du Ke Feng or Dou Ho-fung. He is based in Hong Kong and has worked primarily on Chinese-language films.

After leaving Australia at eighteen and taking various jobs, Doyle studied Chinese in Taiwan and worked as a photographer before becoming a cinematographer on Edward Yang’s *That Day, on the Beach* (1983). He is best known for his long collaboration with Wong Kar-wai on films including *Days of Being Wild* (1990), *Chungking Express* (1994), *Fallen Angels* (1995), *Happy Together* (1997), *In the Mood for Love* (2000) and *2046* (2004). Other credits include *Hero* (2002) and *Psycho* (1998).

Doyle has won awards for cinematography at the Cannes and Venice film festivals, as well as multiple Golden Horse and Hong Kong Film Awards.
