Christopher Mayer, also credited as Chip Mayer or George Charles Mayer III, was an American actor. Born in Manhattan, New York City, on 21 February 1954, he died in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, on 23 July 2011.

He was best known for playing Vance Duke in 19 episodes of the fifth season of *The Dukes of Hazzard* (1982–1983). His other television credits included the series *Glitter* (1984–1985) and guest roles in *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* (1999), *Baywatch* and *Xena: Warrior Princess* (1995), in which he appeared as Peranis. He played Kenneth Falk in the film *Liar Liar* (1997).
