Christopher Murphy is an American actor. He was born on 16 February 1963.

He is known for his role as Schoenick in the film *The Abyss* (1989). Other screen credits include Ralphie in *Valley Girl* (1983), Scott in an episode of *Baywatch* (1989), Newscaster #2 in *Piranha* (1995), Evac. Team Officer in *Carnosaur 2* (1995), A.J. in *Asteroid* (1997), Tony Thompson in *The Hidden II* (1993), and Rod Curtis in the television miniseries *House of Frankenstein* (1997).

Murphy has also worked in theatre, appearing as Bomber in a production of William Inge's *Picnic* at the Actors Theatre of Louisville from December 1992 to January 1993.
