## Biography

Christopher Nightingale is a British composer and orchestrator. He composed the score for the film *Pride* (2014), which received a BAFTA nomination, and the original score for *Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical* (2022).

His theatre credits include composing the score for *A Christmas Carol* (Tony Award winner for Best Original Score), additional music and orchestrations for *Matilda the Musical* (Tony nomination for Best Orchestrations), and work as musical supervisor, arranger and orchestrator on productions including *Ghost the Musical*, *Groundhog Day* and *The Lord of the Rings*. He served as an organ scholar at Magdalene College, Cambridge, was musical director of the Cambridge Footlights, and worked as a musical director for the Royal Shakespeare Company after graduating in 1987.
