## Biography

Christopher Russell is a British television and radio scriptwriter. He began writing radio plays in the mid-1970s while working as a postman and became a full-time scriptwriter in 1980. His television credits include numerous episodes of *The Bill* (1985–1994), *A Touch of Frost* (1994–1996), *Cadfael* (1996–1998), *EastEnders* (1985) and *Look and Read* (1983–1988).

Russell wrote screenplays for two episodes of *Midsomer Murders* (2000–2002) and one episode of *The Ruth Rendell Mysteries* (2000). He has also written children’s novels, often in collaboration with his wife Christine Russell, and lives on the Isle of Wight.
