Christopher Tyng is an American composer for film and television. Born on 5 August 1968 in Long Beach, California, he is known for his work on numerous television series.

He composed the music for *Futurama* (1999–), including its main theme, which samples Pierre Henry’s “Psyché Rock”, The Winstons’ “Amen Brother” and Sugarhill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight”. His other credits include *Rescue Me* (2004–), *The O.C.*, *Suits*, *Knight Rider* and the animated special *Olive, the Other Reindeer* (1999).

Tyng has received multiple BMI and SESAC awards, as well as an Online Film & Television Association award for best television theme for *Futurama*. He is a multi-instrumentalist who began as a drummer.
