## Biography

Christopher Zalla is a director, writer and producer. He was born in 1974 in Kisumu, Kenya, and graduated from Oberlin College in 1997. He later earned an MFA with honours in directing from Columbia University’s Graduate Film Division, where he also taught as an adjunct professor.

Zalla’s debut feature *Blood of My Blood* (2007, also known as *Sangre de mi Sangre* or *Padre Nuestro*) won the U.S. Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. He wrote and directed the 2023 drama *Radical*, which premiered at Sundance and received several audience and jury awards. He has directed episodes of the television series *Law & Order* (2008), *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (2008–2009) and *Law & Order: Criminal Intent* (2009–2010), as well as the television film *Beautiful & Twisted* (2015).
