## Biography

Claire Mathon is a French cinematographer. She studied at the École nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière, graduating in 1998, and has worked on numerous short films, documentaries and feature films.

She is known for her work on *Stranger by the Lake* (2013), for which she received a César Award nomination for Best Cinematography; *My King* (2015); *Atlantics* (2019); *Portrait of a Lady on Fire* (2019); *Petite Maman* (2021); *Spencer* (2021); and *Saint Omer* (2022).

For *Portrait of a Lady on Fire*, Mathon won the César Award for Best Cinematography, the Lumière Award for Best Cinematography, and shared the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Cinematography (with her work on *Atlantics*). She was born in 1975 in Dijon, France.
