Claire Tailyour is a director and writer. Born in Johannesburg, she grew up in the UK and trained in the United States, completing an MFA at USC School of Cinematic Arts and a BA at UCLA and the University of Sussex.

She has directed episodes of several television series, including three episodes of *Beyond Paradise* (2024), thirteen episodes of *Phoenix Rise* (2023), three episodes of *The Wives* (2024) and three episodes of *The Blame* (2026). Other directing credits include *Waterloo Road*, *Moving On* and *Hollyoaks*, as well as documentaries and short films screened at festivals including Sundance.

As a writer, her debut feature script *Mother Wild* won the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Film award and the PAGE Award in 2020. She has also directed second unit on series including *Wild Bill* and *Deceit*.
