## Biography

Claude Bouxin was a French production designer and art director. He worked on more than ninety films between the late 1920s and the mid-1960s, as well as designing for the stage.

Born in Argelès-Gazost, he trained in applied arts and began assisting film architect Jean Perrier in 1926. His credits include early sound films and postwar productions, among them *Bob le Flambeur* (1956) for Jean-Pierre Melville.

He also worked as a stage designer in Toulouse during the occupation and later in Paris theatres such as the Théâtre du Palais Royal.
