## Biography

Claudio Guzmán (2 August 1927 – 12 July 2008) was a Chilean-American television director, producer, art director and production designer. He began his career in the United States in the early 1950s, initially working in art direction and production design on Desilu productions including episodes of Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse, for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award.

Guzmán directed numerous episodes of series including I Dream of Jeannie (51 episodes, 1966–1970), The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Fugitive, The Patty Duke Show, The Flying Nun and The Partridge Family. He served as executive producer on the bilingual children's series Villa Alegre, receiving two Daytime Emmy nominations, and directed the 1975 film Linda Lovelace for President.
