## Biography

Clement Ishmael is a composer, conductor and arranger. He is British-born Canadian and trained in composition and conducting at the University of Toronto and the Royal Conservatory of Music. He has served as worldwide music supervisor for Disney’s *The Lion King*.

His television credits include composing music for one episode of the series *Red Dwarf* (1999). Theatre work encompasses music direction and arrangement for West End productions including *Five Guys Named Moe*, *Ain’t Misbehavin’*, *Smokey Joe’s Café* and *Soul Train*. He has also composed operas, chamber music and other classical works performed internationally and broadcast by BBC Television and Radio.
