## Biography

Clovis Bueno was a Brazilian art director, production designer and costume designer. Born in Santos, São Paulo, in 1940, he began working in film in the late 1960s as a costume designer on titles such as *Anuska, manequim e mulher* (1968) before moving into set design.

He is known for his work on Hector Babenco films including *Pixote* (1980), where he served as both costume designer and art director, and *Kiss of the Spider Woman* (1985). Other credits include production design on *Carandiru* (2003), *At Play in the Fields of the Lord* (1991) and *Kickboxer 3: The Art of War* (1992). Bueno also directed and wrote the 2005 film *Cafundó*. He died in Rio de Janeiro in 2015.
