## Biography

Colette Kane is a British television writer and producer. She began her career as a playwright, with work staged at Paines Plough, the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Hampstead Theatre and Theatre Clwyd. She moved into screenwriting in 2012, writing episodes of the BBC One anthology series *Moving On* (2013–2016).

Kane has written episodes of *Vera* (2020–2023), *Broken* (2017), *The Indian Detective* (2017) and *Temple* (2021), on which she served as lead writer for the second series. She has written two episodes of *Dalgliesh* (2024) and is co-creator, lead writer and executive producer of a reboot of *Dalziel and Pascoe*. She is based in Liverpool.
