Colin Bates is a British-American actor. Born on 17 August 1990 in Los Angeles, he trained with the Royal Ballet as a child and later graduated from the Juilliard School. He began his professional career in the title role of Stephen Daldry's *Billy Elliot the Musical* in the West End.

Bates has appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning production of *Girl from the North Country*, with his performance recorded for the PBS *Great Performances* series. He has taken guest roles in series including *The Blacklist* (2021), *Chicago P.D.* (2024) and *S.W.A.T.* (2024).
