## Biography

Colin Brunton is a Canadian film and television producer and director. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he began his career in the late 1970s with short films including *The Last Pogo* (1978) and won a Genie Award for Best Live Action Short for *The Mysterious Moon Men of Canada* (1989).

He produced feature films such as *Roadkill* (1989) and *Highway 61* (1990) with director Bruce McDonald, and served as the first executive director of the Feature Film Project at the Canadian Film Centre, where he executive-produced *Cube* (1997) and *Rude* (1995). His other feature credits include line producer on *Hedwig and the Angry Inch* (2001).

In television, Brunton has produced series including *Little Mosque on the Prairie*, *Spun Out* and *Schitt's Creek* (2015–2019). He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series as a producer on the latter. He also co-directed the documentary *The Last Pogo Jumps Again* (2013).
