## Biography

Cris Huerta, sometimes credited as Chris Huerta or Cris Huertas, was a Portuguese-Spanish actor. Born Crisanto Huerta Brieva in Lisbon, he grew up in Madrid and studied economics before turning to acting. He appeared in more than 100 films, mainly spaghetti westerns of the 1960s and 1970s, often in character roles as bandits, sidekicks or bartenders.

Huerta made his screen debut in the 1961 peplum *Ursus* and later featured in titles such as *Navajo Joe* (1966), *Bandidos* (1967) and *The Legend of Frenchie King* (1971). His activity declined after the mid-1970s, though he returned for one of his final screen roles as the Father in *The City of Lost Children* (1995). He died in Madrid in 2004.
