## Biography

Daina Reid is an Australian director, producer and former actress. She graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts acting course in 1990 and began her career as a performer on the comedy series *Full Frontal* (1995–1997). She started directing in 1999.

Reid is known for her work on Australian television including *Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries* (2012), *The Secret River*, *INXS: Never Tear Us Apart* (2014) and *Sunshine*. Her international credits include episodes of *The Handmaid's Tale* (2017–), *The Outsider* (2020), *Upload* (2020), *Space Force* (2020), *The Spanish Princess* (2019), *Shining Girls* (2022) and *The Veil* (2024), as well as the feature *Run Rabbit Run* (2023).

She received the Australian Directors Guild’s Michael Carson Award in 2017 and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series in 2019 for her work on *The Handmaid's Tale*.
