Dale Hennesy was an American production designer and art director. He was born on 24 August 1926 in Washington, D.C., and died on 20 July 1981 in Encino, California.

He began his career as an illustrator at Twentieth Century Fox. Hennesy won the Academy Award for best art direction for *Fantastic Voyage* (1966). He served as production designer on *Sleeper* (1973), *Young Frankenstein* (1974) and *Annie* (1982), and received art direction nominations for *Logan's Run* (1976) and *Annie*.
