## Biography

Dale Stern is a director and producer working primarily in comedy television and feature films. He has directed episodes of *Veep* (2016–2019), *Detroiters* (2017), *I'm Sorry* (2017), *Claws* (2018–2022) and *Bel-Air* (2022), and served as co-executive producer on *Bel-Air* and *Claws*.

Earlier in his career he worked as first assistant director and associate producer on *Brüno* (2009) and *Borat* (2006), and as associate producer on *The League* (2009) and episodes of *Curb Your Enthusiasm*. On *Veep* he was first assistant director across multiple seasons from 2012 and later a producer.

Stern received two consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for his work on *Veep*, a Directors Guild of America nomination for Outstanding Directing in Comedy, and won the 2016 Gold Derby Award for Best Comedy Episode of the Year.
