He began his career in 2002 with a role in the television series *Ultimate Force* and made his feature film debut the following year as Lieutenant Gillette in *Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl*.

O'Hare reprised the role of Gillette in *Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides* (2011). His other credits include appearances in *The Broken* (2008), *Zoo* (2017), *Stargirl* (2020) and television series such as *The Royal*, *Hell on Wheels*, *Hatfields & McCoys*, *1923* and *Perry Mason*.
