Dan Atherton is a British cinematographer, also credited as Daniel Atherton. He trained at the National Film and Television School, graduating in 2016.

Atherton has worked as director of photography on the television series *Great Expectations* (2023), *Prime Target* (2025), *The Gentlemen* (2026), *Legends* (2026) and *Bait* (2026). Earlier credits include *Somewhere Boy* (2022) and *The One* (2021). In 2018 he received the British Society of Cinematographers Emerging Cinematographer award for the short film *Love Pool*.
