Dan Gordon is an Israeli-American screenwriter, producer and director. Born on 5 May 1947 in Southern California, he has written numerous feature films and over 200 hours of television.

His screen credits include the screenplays for *Passenger 57* (1992), *Wyatt Earp* (1994), *Murder in the First* (1995), *The Assignment* (1997) and *The Hurricane* (1999), for which he received an Academy Award nomination. He developed the story for *Rambo: Last Blood* (2019) and *Big George Foreman* (2023). Television work includes writing for *Highway to Heaven* and *Highlander: The Series*. He also wrote the screenplay for the 2026 film *Just Play Dead*, adapting his own novel.
