## Biography

Dan Lyons is a writer, journalist and author. He worked as a staff writer on the HBO comedy series *Silicon Valley* (2014), contributing to the second season and receiving a co-producer credit on the third.

Lyons began his career as a technology journalist, serving as a reporter and editor at *Forbes*, technology editor at *Newsweek* and editor of ReadWrite. In 2006 he created the satirical blog *The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs* under the pseudonym Fake Steve Jobs. The blog led to his work on the series. He has also written three books of fiction, including the novel *Options: The Secret Life of Steve Jobs* (2007) and the memoir *Disrupted: My Misadventure in the Startup Bubble* (2016). He holds a B.A. from Bradford College and an M.F.A. from the University of Michigan, where he has lectured.
