Danford B. Greene (also credited as Danford Greene) was an American film and television editor. He was born on 26 June 1928 in Wichita, Kansas, and died on 13 August 2015 in California. He received Academy Award nominations for Best Film Editing for *M*A*S*H* (1970) and, with John C. Howard, for *Blazing Saddles* (1974).

Greene graduated from the University of Southern California in 1952. He began his career in the sound effects department at Universal Studios before moving into picture editing, first in television and then feature films. His early feature work included *That Cold Day in the Park* (1969), after which he edited *M*A*S*H* for director Robert Altman.

Greene edited numerous other films through the 1990s, including *Fun with Dick and Jane* (1977), *Rocky II* (1979) and *Who's Harry Crumb?* (1989). He directed one feature, *The Secret Diary of Sigmund Freud* (1984). In later years he taught at the American Film Institute and the Los Angeles Film School.
