## Biography

Daniel Algrant is an American director, writer and occasional actor. He was born in New York City on 25 September 1959.

Algrant co-wrote and directed the feature *Naked in New York* (1993), which was executive produced by Martin Scorsese. He directed episodes of the television series *Sex and the City* (1999–2000) and the films *People I Know* (2002) and *Greetings from Tim Buckley* (2012). He also appears as the author Kelvin Kranz in Steven Soderbergh’s *Let Them All Talk* (2020).

Algrant is an alumnus of Harvard University and the Columbia University Film School. He executive produced the 2011 documentary *How to Grow a Band*.
