Daniel Gélin was a French actor. Born in Angers, Maine-et-Loire, on 19 May 1921, he died in Paris on 29 November 2002.

He trained at the Cours Simon in Paris and the Conservatoire national d'art dramatique, where he met Louis Jouvet. He made his first film appearance in 1940 and went on to appear in more than 150 films.

Gélin is known for roles including Alfred in *La Ronde* (1950), Jean in *Le Plaisir* (1952), Louis Bernard in *The Man Who Knew Too Much* (1956), Charles Chevalier in *Murmur of the Heart* (1971), and others. He also wrote and directed the 1952 film *The Long Teeth*.
