## Biography

Daniel Hart is an American composer and musician. Born in Emporia, Kansas, in August 1976, he is a classically trained violinist who graduated from Southern Methodist University. He has released music as a soloist and with his bands The Physics of Meaning and Dark Rooms, and has toured and recorded with artists including St. Vincent, the Polyphonic Spree and Broken Social Scene.

Hart began scoring films for director David Lowery with *St. Nick* (2009) and has since composed for all of Lowery's features. His credits include *Ain't Them Bodies Saints* (2013), *Pete's Dragon* (2016), *A Ghost Story* (2017), *The Old Man & the Gun* (2018) and *The Green Knight* (2021). He lives in Los Angeles.
