## Biography

Daniel Pyne is an American screenwriter, television writer and producer. He wrote episodes for the series *Miami Vice* (1984), including under the pseudonym A. J. Edison, and served as executive story editor.

Pyne studied at Stanford University and UCLA film school. His screenwriting credits include *Pacific Heights* (1990), *Doc Hollywood* (1991), *The Sum of All Fears* (2002), *The Manchurian Candidate* (2004) and *Fracture* (2007). He also wrote for and showran *Bosch* (2015).

He made his directorial debut with *Where's Marlowe?* (1998) and has published several novels.
