Daniel Sunjata is an American actor. He is known for his role as firefighter Franco Rivera in the FX series *Rescue Me* (2004–2011).

Sunjata trained at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. His stage work includes a Tony-nominated performance in the Broadway play *Take Me Out* (2003).

His film credits include *The Devil Wears Prada* (2006) and *The Dark Knight Rises* (2012). Television appearances encompass *Grey’s Anatomy*, *Graceland* and *High Potential*.
