Daniel T. Thomsen is an American television writer and producer. Born in Syracuse, New York, he began his career with a writing credit on the CBS crime drama *Close to Home* (2006). He served as a staff writer on the Fox science-fiction series *Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles* (2008), contributing three scripts across its two seasons.

Thomsen later wrote episodes for *Melrose Place* (2009–2010) and worked on the first three seasons of *Once Upon a Time* (2011–2014), receiving writing and producer credits. He co-wrote an episode of the HBO series *Westworld* (2016) with Lisa Joy. Subsequent credits include *Time After Time* (2017), *The Passage* (2019) and *Batwoman* (2019). He is co-showrunner of the ABC series *Will Trent* (2023–).

His work on *Westworld* earned Writers Guild of America Award nominations for drama series and new series.
