Born on 7 May 1928 in Millerovo, he graduated from VGIK in 1954 and joined the Theatre-Studio of Film Actors in Moscow, where he remained until 1990. He made his screen debut in 1956 in *The Forty-First* and appeared in numerous films and television productions over the following decades, often in supporting roles. Netrebin is known for parts in *The Cranes Are Flying* (1957), *Fate of a Man* (1959), *The Elusive Avengers* (1967), *War and Peace* (1968) and *Dersu Uzala* (1975), in which he played a policeman. He was named Honoured Artist of the RSFSR in 1991 and also worked as a voice actor.
