## Biography

Danis Goulet is a Canadian Cree-Métis director and screenwriter. She was born in La Ronge, Saskatchewan, and began working in film in 1998 as a casting assistant on a CBC miniseries. She later attended a filmmaking workshop in New York and has directed several short films, including *Spin* (2004) and *Wakening* (2013).

Goulet’s debut feature *Night Raiders* (2021), which she also wrote, premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, where she received the Emerging Talent Award. The film, produced by Taika Waititi, won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Original Screenplay. She has directed episodes of the series *Reservation Dogs* (2021–2023), *Alaska Daily* (2022) and others. Goulet previously served as a programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival and as director of the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival.
